Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 28/02/2025

We know, reading a Privacy Policy might not be the most exciting thing you’ll do today, but we’ve added a dash of wit to keep you engaged. If you continue to use NeilCYoungtrio.co.uk, you’re agreeing to the fun (and the data practices) below.

1. Introduction

Scope
This Privacy Policy covers how we collect and handle your information when you visit our site or use our services. By accessing or using our website, you consent to these practices. If you disagree, you might want to spend your day reading something else (like a good novel).

Key Principles

We collect only what we need (no snooping in your diary).
We protect your data as best we can (think guard dogs, but digital).
We comply with relevant laws (because no one wants to be on the wrong side of those).
We stay transparent so you can understand how we use your info.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Forms and Submissions
Which Forms Collect Personal Data?
Whenever you submit a form on our site, we capture essential details like:

  • IP Address (to keep out spam-bots)
  • Email Address
  • Other personal data you provide in the form fields (e.g., name, phone number).

Why We Collect This Data

We do this to respond to your questions or requests and make sure our site is only populated by real humans. We’ll never use your data to clutter your inbox with spammy messages about cat memes (unless that’s your thing).

2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect non-personal information whenever you wander through our pages. This includes:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Pages visited
  • Timestamps

We use this data to optimize your browsing experience—like rearranging furniture so you don’t stub your toe.

2.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences (like whether you like light mode or dark mode)
  • Understand how you interact with our content
  • Prevent you from having to enter the same data over and over again.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but you might miss out on some site features (no one likes half-baked cookies).

3. How We Use and Share Your Data

Providing and Improving Services
Your data helps us keep the site running smoothly and figure out which features need a facelift.

Spam Protection
We rely on third-party services to block pesky spam. Think of them like bouncers at a club ensuring only genuine guests get in.

Public Display
Certain comments or testimonials might go live for the world to see, but only if you’re cool with it (and it’s clearly stated).

Disclosure

We may share data with our team or contractors to help us serve you better.
We might have to share data if required by law or when life (and lawyers) demand it.

4. Data Retention

Form Submissions
We hang onto form entries (plus IP addresses) for 30 days. After that, we show them the digital exit door—unless we need to keep something for legal reasons.

Usage Data
We keep this around just long enough to spot trends and improve your experience, or as required by law—whichever comes first.

5. Third-Party Services and Plugins

We use a handful of outside tools. They have their own privacy policies, which are sometimes even drier than ours. We encourage you to read them anyway if you’re up for a deep dive.

5.1 Spam Protection Services

  • Google reCAPTCHA
  • hCaptcha
  • Akismet Spam

5.2 Email Marketing and Subscriber List Management

  • Mailchimp
  • ActiveCampaign
  • AWeber
  • Campaign Monitor

5.3 Data Storage and Workflow Integrations

Google Drive & Google Sheets
Trello
Slack

5.4 Image Optimization (LiteSpeed Cache)

Sends images to Litespeed servers for optimization, possibly transferring EXIF data (either stripped or returned).

Uses the Stackpath CDN, storing visitor data (like IPs, user-agent, etc.) for up to 7 days.

Stackpath Policy
Uses Drip for sending informational emails to site admins (admin email only). Drip Policy

5.5 Media Embeds

  • YouTube
If you’re logged into YouTube, Google knows you watched that cat video through our site.
  • Vimeo
May collect IP addresses and data on which pages you visited.
  • Google Web Fonts
Loads fonts from Google, which sees your IP address.
  • SoundCloud
If you’re logged in, SoundCloud knows you listened to a track on our pages.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you’re in the EEA, we only process your data if:

  • You’ve given consent
  • It’s necessary for a contract
  • It’s in our legitimate interests (like improving the site)
  • We’re fulfilling a legal obligation.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (EU, California, etc.), you might:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent (you can change your mind—no judgment).
Hit us up in Section 10 for any of these requests.

8. Children’s Privacy

We don’t intentionally collect data from anyone under [13]. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared personal info with us, please let us know so we can remove it.

9. Data Security

We take security seriously and use reasonable measures to protect your info. But remember, even the best fortress has a weak spot. If a breach occurs, we’ll do our best to let you know right away and fix it fast.

10. Contact Us

We promise to respond promptly and politely (and maybe with a joke if appropriate).

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we need to update this Policy (e.g., because of new laws or newly discovered existential questions), we’ll revise the “Last Updated” date. By continuing to hang out on our site after changes go live, you accept the updated version—kind of like renewing a subscription, but for data privacy.

Disclaimer: This policy is meant to give you a friendly rundown of how we handle your info. For hardcore legal compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), please consult an attorney. We’re not responsible if you take this as law school material.

3. Cookie Policy

Introduction
Our Cookie Policy explains what those little data packets are doing in your browser’s pocket. We treat cookies like the bite-sized data bits they are, used to improve site performance and user experience.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They serve as bookmarks for your activity, so you don’t get lost in the labyrinth of the internet.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

  1. Essential Cookies
    • Vital for site operation (like logging in or remembering your session). Without them, the site may behave like a moody teenager.
  2. Analytics Cookies
    • Gather anonymous data so we can see which pages spark the most curiosity.
  3. Functionality Cookies
    • Remember your preferences (e.g., language, region, or whether you like your coffee black or with milk, metaphorically).
  4. Third-Party Cookies
    • Embedded content (like videos, social media widgets, or cat pictures) might place their own cookies. We’re not responsible for these third-party practices but strive to ensure they’re from reputable sources.

3. Managing Cookies

You can typically manage or delete cookies via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or restrict cookies, though it might affect site performance. Think of it as unplugging the fridge—some functionalities may spoil.

4. Consent

By using our site, you consent to our use of cookies (as per your settings). If you prefer a cookie-free diet, adjust your settings accordingly and proceed, though certain site features may become more… temperamental.

5. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update our Cookie Policy from time to time, reflecting changes in law, technology, or a newfound desire for better user experience. We recommend checking this policy periodically—like flipping through a well-worn travel guide—to stay informed.

2. Usage Policy

Introduction
Welcome to the usage corner of PPN Lincoln. In this realm, we outline the do’s and don’ts, so we can all exist in harmony and avoid cosmic chaos. By accessing or using our website, you accept these conditions wholeheartedly, pinky promise style.

1. Eligibility

You affirm you’re old enough (and wise enough, presumably) to use our services and that you possess the authority to abide by these terms. Minors require guardian supervision, or at least an adult who is marginally awake.

2. Acceptable Use

  • Honesty: Provide accurate information, not conjured from elaborate illusions.
  • Lawfulness: No illegal, fraudulent, or harassing activity allowed. Let’s keep it civilized.
  • Non-Invasiveness: Don’t attempt to hack, scrape, or sabotage the site with digital shenanigans.

3. User-Generated Content

  • Intellectual Property: You own the rights to whatever creative wonders you post, but by doing so, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display such content on our site and promotional materials.
  • Responsibility: You’re responsible for your content, so please don’t share anything that violates laws, third-party rights, or basic respect for the cosmic order.

4. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

  • We reserve the right to protect our content, logos, brand elements, or any intangible goodies. Please don’t hijack them without permission.

5. Third-Party Links

Our site might feature links to external websites that expand your horizons but for which we take no responsibility. Once you venture beyond our domain, you follow that path at your own risk.

6. Termination

If you violate these rules (or if the cosmic alignment insists), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access. We’re not malicious overlords—but sometimes it’s necessary to maintain the peace.

7. Liability

Disclaimer: We work diligently to ensure our site is functional, secure, and free of digital gremlins. However, we can’t be liable for unforeseeable events, server downtime, or cosmic phenomena out of our control.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may modify these rules occasionally. Changes will be posted with a fresh date at the top of this page—like a friendly note pinned to your digital fridge. Continued use implies acceptance of any updated policies.
